Hi all
long time uvnc and sc user
first time poster
over the years i've used it successfully in many various setups.
i've tried to keep up with versions and never really had issues (apart from vista aero)
now i recently updated my main pc to 1.0.6.5
i think i did a full removal, reboot, install and everything seems ok
today is the first time i've had an sc connection come to me but they seem to fail.
i have animated mouse cursors so i can see when stuff is happening.
i've had 3 remote users test the existing sc i have online and when they run it the mouse 'changes' so i know its coming thru
no main window pops up or connects
i'll try a reboot and rerun but i doubt its me.
my router ports are good and vnc to/from locally works ok
i also run vnc manager and that is ok too
anyone with any tips on repairing the listener to finalise the connection once made to my pc.
as i've said i can see the mouse change within seconds of them running my tool (1 choice to a static ip)
thanks
sorry if i missed an existing topic on this issue, i did have a quick look and tried search.
keep up the great software
now off to drive to the remote client
D

SC blocked after upgrade
Re: SC blocked after upgrade
Do you use DSMplugin?
Please remind that the 1.0.6.5 installer now packed with a new msrc4plugin (1.2.4), which may be not compatible with the old version.

so what is the best plan?
remove update and roll back to a slightly older uvnc install
or
update my sc exe
is there a revised sc to work?
i dont tweak the exe apart from the vanilla version with my ip and icon
thanks for the feedback

Re: SC blocked after upgrade
Just wondering what 105x and 106X have to do with sc (single click).
SC is a special winvnc.exe version that's compiled online to make
a simple connection.
There exist no 105/106 SC .
The only thing SC use is the viewer.exe from the ultravnc 102-106.
A little confused...

hi
as per my original post and the reply
[post=61713][/post]
the only issue i've had is since i upgraded to uvnc 1.0.6.5
the 'listener' sits waiting a 'call'
once the sc is remotely run i 'see' my cursor change but no connection is made
i was advised that there was new parts in the latest uvnc viewer/server (listener) so i tried a slightly older version that now works.
i'd love to have the latest but i need it actually working (quickly) over any new features.
the improvements, esp with vista, have been great but ill check those out later

oh, also the uvnc.com pages has the latesat product refered to as 1.0.6.5 and 1.0.5.6 on the same page

UltraVNC 1.0.6.5 Released !
UltraVNC 1.0.5.6 Released !
Re: SC blocked after upgrade
Would you please check and advise the detail information of what is the version that is working?MitH wrote:i've uninstalled and reinstalled 1.0.5.x

(at Windows Explorer, hover the mouse pointer over "vncviewer.exe", a message box will popup. What is the version displayed?)

Re: SC blocked after upgrade
For the best of my knowledge, the 1.0.5.6 viewer & 1.0.6.5 viewer should not cause your problem.
However, the 1.0.2, 1.0.4.x, and the 1st release of 1.0.5 viewer have a small difference from the later version such as 1.0.6.5, which may cause the problem as you encountered.
If you can work fine with 1.0.5.6 (I suppose this is the version displayed when you hovered the mouse pointer over the vncviewer.exe,), while 1.0.6.5 is fail to do so .... I'm out of idea
