1) If I have a machine that will NEVER act as a server, it will only be a viewer, is there any reason to install the video driver on that machine?
2) Does the video driver work the same (do the same thing) on WinXP and Win2000?
3) If I install the driver on a Win2000 machine and I connect from another machine with the RC16C viewer (or any viewer, for that matter), how can I tell if it's using the "souped up" video driver?
Thanks.

Hi
the following answers are based on my knowledge. They may be wrong...
Hope this helped!
PS: To the administrators: Maybe you could add these questions to the FAQs...

No. It will unnecessarily use system resources if you really won't use the machine as a server.josephgreenberg wrote:1) If I have a machine that will NEVER act as a server, it will only be a viewer, is there any reason to install the video driver on that machine?
Yes. See also: [topic=62][/topic]josephgreenberg wrote:2) Does the video driver work the same (do the same thing) on WinXP and Win2000?
On the server machine you have to check the vnc-configuration. It has to say "Update Handling: Video Hook Driver"josephgreenberg wrote:3) If I install the driver on a Win2000 machine and I connect from another machine with the RC16C viewer (or any viewer, for that matter), how can I tell if it's using the "souped up" video driver?
