problem viewing vista pc from xp pc

works fine with xp no problem with or without encrytion.

when the client (vista pc) executes sc exe and double clicks internet support the connection activates.

accept incoming sc connection shows on viewing pc (xp pc), when i click yes, the vnc viewer window appears, the desktop of vista pc draws itself from top to bottom with black background and when finished it disappears along vnc viewing window and going back to normal xp pc desktop.

back on vista pc, after the connection is accepted the desktop background goes black and then goes back to normal when the above process is finished.

could this be because the viewing pc is xp?

i have looked back at several other post on this forum but none seem to be conclusive with similar vista problems.. i was wondering if anyone could help with this problem - many thanks.

'update'

tried it again this morning after installing latest nvidia driver on viewing xp pc and it worked taking control of vista pc. but when i disconnected and tried several times again after it never worked again, just behaved as stated above. so back to the drawing board.
