Please help me! Password...???

I did install ultra VNC into my computer. I tried to change my password in default settings but when I click OK (apply) and i opned the default settings again there is some another password (the lenght is not the same as i typed in). Is there some default password from the developers? If yes what it is... or how can i change my password without any problem? THX for help in advance...

I am having the same problem. Installed R195 on a new laptop. I can connect to it from other PCs but it wont autherize. I reset the password and reinstalled the service and it still wont work.

Passwd *****
This does not reflect the installed passwd lenght.
*** is always 8.

How do you change the password.
Application mode
+Application mode and service have different passwords
In application mode the password is saved on user base: each
user has it own passwd
Service
*you need to run vnc as service
*winvnc -servicehelper, to get a tray icon (this normal happen
automatic at boot time)
*change passwd (you need to have admin access to change password)
To set the service password admin access is needed

If vnc is started on the command line as application, user passwords are used.
If vnc is running as service,the general service password is used.
