would like to contribute to this project

Post by shawnmstout »

i wanted to get the source code for these 2 that is currently used in sc so i can use visual studio and modify for improvements, does anyone know where i can get these from, i would rather pick up a rar of these then going through ultravnc's whole source code and trying to figure it out, plus since you use a older version i dont think it would do me any good anyways. thanks in advance

i would like to contribute to this project as im a programmer also but its hard without the tools

what i would like to add:
winvnc.exe: a menu bar to winvnc.exe to be able to add hyperlinks for tools
vncviewer.exe: be able to boot into safe mode with networking and to reconnect on reboot

how this can be done:
winvnc.exe: have to be able to get the source code then read a text file that can be edited by the tech to add in the name and the hyperlink

vncviewer.exe: copy the clients connection exe to the root drive in a folder named by the tech then on restart and when you close out the connection it it deletes this folder
for safe mode with networking it would backup the current boot.ini file and the altered boot.ini file and have another boot.ini file that would replace it for the safe mode with networking, then on exit or next restart it would put the boot.ini file back, also it would add an entry to run the clients connections exe file on reboot

i think this method would work very well and would be a great update
