uvnc very slow

Post by silver163 »

So I got Uvnc running on a computer but it is very slow, I run teamviewer on the same computer at the same time and it is much faster. Why is this? Can anyone please help make uvnc work much faster?

MaxCpu=0 (value 20 default) (edit --zero 0 = no limit)

The newest release 1.0.6.4 has a maximum cpu usage of 20%
This can cause slowdown on older machines, try editing ultravnc.ini and modifiy:

MaxCpu=0 (value 20 default) (0 = no limit)

OS ?
polloptions ?
Is schook.dll installed (does the file exist in the ultravnc folder)?
What's the cpu usage (server/viewer) ?

What is slow...?
preview screensaver ( moving lines)
moving mouse ? via viewer/via server

Story problem: UltraVnc puts out a slow open source version. The server is so slow that it is virtually unusable so nobody is interested in buying the commercial version. UltraVnc shoots themselves in the foot financially. Question: What should UltraVnc do to solve this problem?

Sorry, uvnc is and stay an open source project.
We don't want to make a commercial version or have time for it.

Speed depend on
-encoder
-poll options
-installation of the mirror driver

Using vista or win7
-disable aero <server option>
With aero enabled it's slow... the desktop in aero mode is played like
a avi movie. hookdll's aren't working and pure scanning is used.
