Authtication failure (second attempt)

Post by mrmista »

On 1.0.6.4

If I type the wrong password and go to try click 'connect' again it goes straight to "failed to connect to server" before asking for password again.

Was on 1.0.5.4 before hand and was fine and I completely uninstalled and did a fresh install.

-----------

As a side note, the other issue i have is if i type the wrong password the whole window closes and i have to open again(has been like this always afaik). Can this be changed?

Thanks,

Mark

I can repeat this problem 1.0.6.4 server.

The failure of the second connection is most likely "Your connection is rejected", or sometimes be the "Fail to connect server".

Looks like the server has to wait for a period to reset something, or wait for a period to assure the 1st connection (due to incorrect password) stuff is eliminated.

In my test, if you wait for about 2 miniutes after the first authentication failure, and then click 'connect' again, it can bring up the asking password window.

I also test the old 1.0.5.6 server. It has the same phenomenon, but the waiting period is much shorter.
