Cannot change port
Cannot change port
After upgrading to 1.0.6.4, I cannot change the port from 5800/5900 to other port. When I enable the "Ports" button, the "Auto" button is still enabled. Even I changed the port and save. The port is still 5800/5900 next time.
ps: 1.0.5.6 is ok.

Re: Cannot change port
Confirmed! It's a new GUI bug...
Re: Cannot change port
Yes, can repeat here.
Not only 1.0.6.4, the 1.0.6.2 and 1.0.6.3 have the same problem.
The 1.0.5.6 and 1.0.5.7.x are all OK.
The problem is the "Auto" button is always selected.
A workaround is using the "uvnc_settings.exe" to change the setting (or even edit the ultravnc.ini manually), and then restart the service.

Re: Cannot change port
Will there be an update? I think this bus is easy to fix... And from time to time I need different ports (without using external tools, only winvnc.exe is my app).

cannot change port maybe bug
I cannot change the port in the admin properties of my VNC server and the Auto Button is always highlighted even if I click on Ports radio button. Does anyone else have this problem?
Re: Cannot change port
Was away... I'm back for 3 days, gonna try to fix this regression asap.

Re: Cannot change port
Seems to be fixed...
This regression was a strange side effect of the recent tab order fix.
SVN updated.
I will recheck all the dialogs to see if this kind of regression appears elsewhere.

Re: unable to set ports
I'm having the exact same problem. Been using UltraVNC for a long time, just installed 1.0.6.4 after doing a fresh install of WinXP Pro. The radio button next to "auto" is stuck and I can't seem to change the default port numbers. Any help appreciated.

An already reported bug. Instead you may use the "uvnc_settings.exe" to change the setting (or even edit the ultravnc.ini manually), and then restart the service.bgtees wrote:I'm having the exact same problem. Re: Cannot change port
The current solution:
1.Go to VNC folder
2.Using a text editor to open "ultravnc.ini"
3.modify:
AutoPortSelect=0
PortNumber=59XX(XX said that the port you want to set)
HTTPPortNumber=58XX(XX said that the port you want to set)
4.Save
5.Restart VNC

4.Save
5.Restart VNC

Win7 Admin Properties "Display"
I just installed Uvnc on my dad's computer so I can help him after I go home. I cannot change the display from "0" to another number. I don't want to use the default port as I have a different PC on that port. I can change the number, but as soon as I click "apply" or "ok" it resets back to zero. Can anybody assist with this? OS is Win7 64-bit. I used the 64-bit install file, but help shows I'm running UltraVNC Win 32 Server 1.0.6.4.
Thanks,
Richard
Thanks,
Richard
Re: Win7 Admin Properties "Display"
The server components aren't 64-bit. They're 32-bit (at least from what I'm seeing).
Only the viewer components are 64-bit from what I understand. That's why you're seeing the 32-bit Server portion.
I'm having this same problem too. Unfortunately, since Win7 is still "officially" only an RC, we may not see a fix for this anytime soon.

Re: Win7 Admin Properties "Display"
The version is X64.....
It just some text in the resource that say win32, but all is X64.
The resource is common for win32 and X64..., we better add something that suite both cpu's.
Just try...
The win32 version refuse to run on 64bit
The X64 version refuse to run on win32
The default port issue is already fixed in the source, some last minute change added this bug.
As workaround you need to set it manual in ultravnc.ini or use the uvnc_settings.exe.
