PCHW on Vista?

Post by fredtheman »

Hello

I use UltraVNC in a very simple context: the user I want to help has his PC located behind a firewall, and I launch the Viewer in listen mode on my PC and tell the user to download and run the UVNC server so that it dials out and connects to my Viewer.

From experience, I noticed that the SingleClick server doesn't work well on Vista, so I'm moving to PCHelpWare.

=> How well does PCHW run on Vista? Is it as good as UVNC on XP? Are there known bugs + work-arounds?

Thank you for your feedback.

I'm sorry, but I've got the same problem with poor performance on vista. I found your thread here and tried a lot, but I can't get it work. When I upload ( http://support1.uvnc.com/cgi-bin/upload3.pl ) my custom.zip together with the new "winvnc32.exe", which I renamed to "winvnc.exe" and then trying it on another client, the windows with the "UltaVNC Server Property Page" pops up. My last SC-Tool worked well with Windows XP, so I think it's an issue with my "winvnc.exe"-replacement.

Would you be so kind and help me creating my Single-Click app?
