use which msrc4plugin.dsm file?

Post by uvnc001 »

I downloaded the latest version of UltraVNC two days ago and want to create a SC for my friend. Tried few times by follow step by step instruction. executable created but always get "Connection Failed - invalide protocal" error when I tested it with two machine inside the same LAN. searched on the forum and couldn't find solution.

When I created the SC, I noticed that the msrc4plugin.dsm file download from the link on step by step instruction is different from the file exists under the UltraVNC installation directory. Which one should I use? I did not use the one under the installation directory and let it being overwrotten by the one downloaded separately. Is that right? I think the one bundled with the UltraVNC might be newer than the one download separately?

use same version of msrc4plugin at both side for prevent this issue
as well. the exact same rc4.key must be at both side.
