UVNC Server Prompt for VISTA (uses only server 1.0.6.0)

Post by JDaus »

UVNC SERVER PROMPT

This is a slimmer version of the UVNC server (No Java viewer, smaller icons, service options removed from tray menu & a few strings & dialogue messages changed), packaged in such a way that it asks for user to manually enter connection details. (same as "add new client" from the tray menu)

UPDATED 2009-06-20

This has now been updated to eliminate the need for a start script. thus it should now work in all situations ... i hope (i had a client that it just wouldn't work for).

OLD INFO ...
I have created a small batch script ([post=58716]thanks to YY[/post]) and added it and a slimmed down version of server 1.0.5.7.4 into a 7zip self-executing archive, and made it available for download.

this is for those that need a quick and easy way of getting remote access to someones computer that have issues running the [topic=14809]autoit scprompt 2009[/topic].

hope it helps some people out ...

Re: SC Prompt Manual (uses server 1.0.5.7.4)

Updated server to 1.0.6.0 ... this no longer needs a script to run the app in the way needed ...

now, if the server doesn't connect to the viewer, the prompt stays up, and it tells the users that it failed to connect to viewer.

all credit to the devs for making this mods to the core application

Yes it is.

the only problem with that is that just running the app makes the connection without any user interaction ...

I have a builder as part of the scprompt2009 latest testing version, that can be used to build the uvnc SERVER prompt package ...
