HI.
I just down load UltraVNC and I like very much.
I Just have a problem.
If I open realVNc from my office with a lan (NO MODEM) i Can not connet the person that whant help from. The person use the moden (NO LAN).
If I use the modem from my office I can connect everyone i do not have any problems.
I can use ultravnc with lan just in my office with the same lan.
My question is:
How can I use the programma from office (A) that it has a lan and connect another office in different city (B) that has another
LAN?
I do not whant to connect it just with the modem.

Problem with ultaVNC

Either way basically what you have to do is connect to the person that is on the modem's IP address - Is that person dialing up to corporate or internet?
If they are dialing into your LAN at work then you should be able to just type in the IP and everything should work.
If they are going out on the internet, you have firewalls and ports that you must worry about if they are behind a software firewall (like XP SP2 or Norton).
So I guess the questions are the basics -
Version of UltraVNC
Computer OS's
Modem dialing into Corporate LAN or Internet?
How is the computers set up - server on modem machine, viewer on LAN machine.
Is the server machine set up as a system service?
Have you verified the server is working, and set up right?
Guess we can start there
