UltraVNC SC for Call Center

Hi All,
I'm new to Ultra VNC SC.

I have an infrustructure with about 150 clients that connect to internet using a Proxy Server that is behind a firewall.

Every client has an IP gived by my DHCP server.

I want to redistribuite UltraVNC SC to our customers to give them support for our products, and I need that our call center (about 50 clients) can connect to our customers.

I'd like to know how to set up my infrastructure.
I don't understand If I have to use Repeater, NAT-2-NAT or forwarder. And I like to know if I have to give Fixed IP to all Call Center clients.

My company has also a DMZ. In DMZ we publish some server for testing purpose. In this DMZ I can put a VNC server without problems.

Here are my suggestions ... you only really want to open one machine to the internet, so you want to use a server "in-the-middle"either want to use a repeater method

• Setup repeater running on the DMZ-server (not sure if its authentication based connections
  Setup a SSH server in the DMZ, and use SSH tunneling like vnc2me
  
  
  the question you need to ask. is what version of SC are you going to use ???
  
  this last one is important because the old SC application doesn't support vista (not well at all)

Thank for your reply. I'll try as soon as possible,

I'd like to use the latest SC version availble for download but during my internal test I've noticed that in my LAN this version is extremly slow when SC is running under Vista. It takes about 15 second to refresh the screen also if I decrease colors to 256.
Are there different version that give me bettere performance?

LOL, sorry i didn't really make much sense the other night ... must have been too tired.

The original SC hasn't been updated in years ... as such it is now outdated, and doesn't support vista (as you have found)

The latest beta versions of the server have the same features as the original SC but without a GUI at present (not sure if its even planned), so you need to look at some other options

[topic=14956]Remote Access control[/topic] is a good freeware application, that robin could easily adapt to your needs. Although its a relative newcomer, it has massive potential, and by all accounts, robin is very helpful when features are wanted/needed or errors are found
[topic=6593]RemoteZilla[/topic] is a good commercial offering that has been around for a while now, and is very well supported and updated (but i think licensing would be expensive for your needs, but it may well be worth a look for you (and you can PM pmoney with any questions you may have)

i am not 100% sure whether either of the above will support the repeater, but I'm fairly sure they do (or can)

there are issues with either using repeater or using ssh as a tunneling method (even though repeater isn't actually tunneling). neither of these (as far as i know) support proxies for client connections (ssh does, but it has to be setup, and is a bit complex, so not easy for clients to do).
