I am using version 1.0.5.3.......
Can someone help ? When Im trying to access a workstation using XP Pro and the workstation is locked I get the message :
"write extract. Socket error while writing".
also if the connection is made and the workstation is locked (by the screen saver) it cuts the connection.
I have a suspicion that its a winows upgrade as this was not happening a while ago, and it works ok on a Windows 2003 Server system. R

This is what happen when you run the server part as application.
An application don't have permission to do things on the logon or screensaver desktop.
solution:
You need to install the server as service.
+
set auto reconnect (viewer option)
Without the auto reconnect, the viewer get disconnected when the server
does a restart to follow the console desktop/session. You can manual reconnect.
To avoid this use the "auto reconnect" option, then the viewer stay open
and does a reconnect in background.
