Hello,
I’m pretty new to VNC, we've tried a few versions and this seems to be a fantastic variation. I would like to use this as a help program but because it’s so powerful, specifically that a user has the ability to login unnoticed, its a little scary.
Is there anyway to notify the local user that there are users logged in or a way to prompt the local user to allow the connection?
Thanks for the help!
Rick

Prompting the Local User Before Login
Yes
There is a query window option in both RC19_4 and RC18 servers.
RC18 you can display the window or not. Default action is to deny connection
RC19_4 you can display the window or not, set the time of how long it is displayed and default the action to allow or deny connection.
If your going to use this for "Help Desk" Reasons - I would suggest you upgrade to RC19 on a test machine (if thats not what you are already using) and find out if it works for you. If it does set the query timeout to allow connection. This way if a user isnt there you can still get on.
