UltraVNC will allow your clients to connect simultaniously - however this option will only allow them to connect to the console. All of them will be sharing the same console and that doesnt sound like what you want.

Windows 2003 server comes (by default) with two Terminal Service connections. This will allow them to connect independantly of each other and utlize the application if it is a per server license rather than per use. You have to configure it and give them Remote Desktop Client - Do a google serach on it.

So if you want everyone to use the same application on one server - give them terminal services access.

If you want to have people all connect to the console at the exact same time then use UltraVNC but if multiple people connect they will be fighting to control the inputs (Keyboard and Mouse). That could be funny, but not very good to be productive.

Well I guess what you need to clarify for me is -

Are you trying to allow access per client to the server simultaniously via console, or through something like Terminal Services?

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2 ... fault.mspx

I think windows 2003 server comes with 2 licenses for terminal services by default..?? I could be wrong. You may just have to purchase some licenses from CDW or Techdepot.. really simple and easy.

If you need help configuring terminal services on that server basically you need to go to your administrative tools and click on terminal services manager. If it for some reason isnt installed you need to install that option with your windows 2003 server cd. - You need to set it up as application terminal services so that users can run apps.

I can go into more detail... but.. you can also read up on it.

Thanks again dude ..

I have an accounting package which runs on windows platform //
What i need to be done is fairly simple.

Make a server run that accounting package. And access via 2-3 Ultra VNC clients the same software on that server PC.

The package is window based.

It would be nice if u cud give me ur yahoo chat id.

I'll get it done in short time.

Thanks

Well - my yahoo chat id is
hadji_000
Im running it from home and I am at work right now, meaning I am not always looking at it..

Either rate - I wouldnt be able to assist until later on this evening (since its only 1p.m. local time here) meaning 7 hours from now I should be at my home computer,

If you want to hit me up go right ahead I will see what I can do.
