Repeater with SC

Post by M.e.M.O. »

Hello .

I've been searching the forums for a while but couln't find decent information about this subject. It seems like the posts are from developers, or ultra-experienced users who can change the code and modify anything they want.

I've been using VNC related programs for a quite while, and needed a replacement of teamviewer since the licences are war too high, and I had a SC build from here. Its working quite nice , except a couple of minor problems, and I feel like they won't be so much of a shizzle.

The problem is with linux repeater. My whole search took more than a couple of hours here and i wasn't able to find any step-by-step guide for a repeater. Neither some info about that ID system. There maybe some, but it can be my fault (stupidity) too .

Simply, I need info about the linux repeater which is going to work outside of our LAN.

Customers (NAT/firewall) ---> Linux repeater (on net ) <---- (NAT/Firewall) Support People (simultaneous connections)

This is how it is going to work. So i won't have to do a lot of settings on our NAT, neither on our customers'. And how does that ID system work?

Thansk in advance.

I am not familiar with linux, but there is a "Repeater Step by Step Version 5 With a Linux Section" document available at [topic=5890]Ultra VNC Step by Step Documents in document and PDF Format[/topic] page.

See if the instruction can help.
