New idea for viewer: no screen !!!

Post by toto_59000 »

I'm new user to UltraVNC. I usually use REALVNC since 2002.

UltraVNC is very good product !!! But I think It's intersting to have a option in the viewer program: No screen !!!

I Explain that: The remote screen show all work i do , I don't want it. I prefere the remote screen is black or other ( green, red :D ) when I work it.

Can you a have a solution ????

Good job and good day !!! Bye.

Solution to your problem

I believe, unless the option has been removed, you can just blank the screen and disallow keyboard input. Check out the window buttons on the ultravnc remote screen.

yeah, if the "server" (remote) machine has "enable blank monitor at view request" box checked (as it does by default) when you click the button on the viewer that looks like a mouse it will disable input to the remote machine and blank the monitor.

toto wants the viewer to blank while connected (presumabily because the server's actual monitor is visible).

I reccomend using Synergy instead.
It is like VNC, but without any screen functionality.
