Connect Mac to PC with UltraVNC

I have a Mac OS X 10.5.6 Leopord MacBook Pro and I want to connect to my Acer laptop with XP SP3. I set up UltraVNC on it, and for some odd reason it won't let me connect. What is the deal? I'm trying to connect using the built in client that I have on my Mac, but no matter what I enter, it keeps denying me access. Can someone please point me to the right direction.

From what I could find, VNC on a Mac works only on the default port for VNC. I'm not sure if you can change it or not. I couldn't find an answer on a client that would help me get into my Mac, though.

Downloaded tightvnc to my pc and was able to connect from osx screen share with no problems.

Every day, I heavily use ScreenShare(OSX 10.5.6) with UltraVnc(XP, Win98) without problem.

I use rather old UltraVNC (1.0.0 build Jun 25 2005 23:55:33),
without DSM PlugIn, via LAN(100M/1G) and its very stable.

I did not try newer ultraVNC, but I can't think of any reason newer one won't work.

I supect DSM PlugIn is not work with OSX ScreenShare.
