I've been using UVNC for years, but this is the first time I ever tried on a pc in a LAN. I can connect within the LAN w/o a problem. I've forwarded the router's port to my pc, I've applied for a dyndns account though I believe my WAN IP is static. I've tried almost everything I found on internet, but the connection from outside the LAN still shows connection failed. What I've been doing:
1. Forwarded port 5904 to 192.168.1.4, which is currently used by the pc
2. Reserved the IP address 192.168.1.4 for this specific pc
3. Registered a dynamic DNS service
4. Turned off firewall
Is there any possibility that my ISP blocks all these ports? I'm with Time Warner Road Runner. How could I find out?

Cannot connect a pc behind a Netgear WGR614 router
Re: Cannot connect a pc behind a Netgear WGR614 router
vncviewer
host: hostname.dynamicdns.tld:5904 <--- don't forget port
try to use another port less than 1024
isp can block some standard port
did test if vnc server can be reached by simple test ?
http://www.canyouseeme.org/
do this test on your ultravnc server computer.
type your custom port 5904
if success, you made some error on your vncviewer side
if fail, change port then try again the test on the new port you have set.

Thanks for the response. I've tested a bunch of ports through the port check tool, but none of them works. Will keep on trying.

Time Warner / Bright House blocked residential ports...
CPE = what connects to your modem for internet.
Time Warner uses a dynamic IP for residential. Business get 1 static by default. IP lifespan could range from 2 weeks to 3 months depending on variables.
