Default pass?

Post by danielt »

Just a general question, when UltraVNC is first setup, by default I noticed the password box is filled in. Can anyone tell me what the pass is by default?...thanks! :)

There is no default password.

You get ******** for a 5 char, none, or 8 char password.
Number of stars does not correspond with the passwd length.

Right, like the guest says, there is no default, the stars are there just to mess with your head. In fact, I believe you cannot use uvnc untill you give it a pass.
using latest code.... always... except when im not.

It wont load the server application without the password in RC18 and RC19. You can disable the password but then it wont accept incomming connections without a password.

However if you are upgrading from VNC or a different Ultra VNC version.. you will have your old password as your default password.
