I've been trying to use PCHelpWare.
I would like to donate to the project so I can get help to set the process up correctly.
Before I donate something, may I please ask what would be a reasonable donation?
Will I be able to get the help I need once I have donated?
Here are the main issues I need some help with:
1. I can use direct connection, but whenever my router's wan ip changes, of course I have to generate new servers. So I'd rather use no-ip.com, but I can't get the repeater connection to work.
2. Is it possible to change the icon of the viewer that I send to my customer? The tray icon is customizable, but the exe icon does not seem to be.
Thank you very much!

General help with PCHelpWare
Re: General help with PCHelpWare
1. repeater don't use direct connection
--- indeed: direct connection is without repeater ---
--- repeater relay/forward mode I (only vncviewer connect to repeater)
--- repeater proxy mode II (both side do outgoing connect to repeater)
2. see the example of hack the server and try to apply the same thing to viewer, not tested.
edit --- added url ---

Re: General help with PCHelpWare
Thanks for the quick and awesome reply.
in item #1 you said, "repeater don't use direct connection"
I am able to use direct connection, but I would prefer to use the repeater in case my wan IP changes.
But I am not able to use repeater. I have a no-ip account set up, No-IP DUC is running on my screen. But I can't get the viewer to connect to the server's screen.
Here is the way I set up the window:
I set up my router to forward port 5500 to my computer's local ip address
I have put these settings in the "Connection" window of "PcHelpWare Viewer":
Direct Connection or Via Repeater: "Via Repeater"
Alias: "Via no IP"
Password: whatever
Use Https proxy: Off
ID: "808"
Host repeater: my no-ip account url
Listen Port Viewer: 80 (tried 5500, 5901)
Listen Port Server: 80 (tried 5500, 5901)
(Click Test - message says "Viewer port OK, Server port OK")
Quality: High
Disable Directx: Tried on and off
Auto Reconnect: Off
Debug: Off
UPnP: Off (tried on but "Map Upnp" fails)
I clicked "Save"
I clicked "Create Server"
I launched the server on my own computer
I clicked "Connect"
The window appears in the top left corner of the screen with "Waiting for viewer" as the last line of text
In my "Connection" window, I clicked "Start" and got "Netword stopped, closing viewer"
Thanks again.
