SC with Nat to Nat?

First, I love the SC program. Very cool. Thanks for your work.

Now the question. Is there a way to use SC with Nat to Nat?

You see, I'm traveling more than I used to and having SC to help clients is really helpful but I'm frequently at a location where I have no access to the firewall to help route the customer.

My clients connect to my home machine using a no-ip.com address.

If I installed Nat-to-Nat at home, could we make an SC connection?

Is there a Linux software like Nat-to_nat that I could run on my server instead?

As long as I'm asking questions, is there a Linux (kubuntu 8.10) vnc viewer that works with SC? Is there a version of SC coming for linux?

have you thought about setting up an SSH server at home, and using SSH tunneling ???

this means you could use putty and vncviewer when out of home (your office) to create a reverse tunnel (opens a port in your home computer and tunnels it to your laptop on the road)

this is essentially why i started creating vnc2me ... to allow SC over SSH, but its a work in progress, and needs more work until its ready for te mass market, but a simple one sided (ie you) SSH tunnel will still work for you ...

Not a bad idea but not what I need either. Tunneling would be fine if I new where I was going to be and had time to set it up before needing to use it. It also requires my connection to be in the way the whole time.

I like how N-2-N works in that it is a controlled way to facilitate a connection but allows it to get the facilitator out of the way. Nat-2-Nat is the perfect solution, if SC worked with it.

I agree with this, but it would also require you to build and re-issue a "new" SC app to your clients, whereas ssh can be implemented in minutes, and used from a usb key if out of office, or not used if at home ...

I don't understand this comment, as:
1) portaputty allows you to setup an SSH tunnel by double clicking a profile, and takes at most 20 seconds to setup.
2) you can establish an ssh connection only when you need it ... it doesn't need to be running all the time (although a computer with the ssh server would need to be running all the time)
3) if your at home, no ssh is obviously required, so you don't establish it ... (unless you wanted to use a different computer in your house)

I didn't understand your comment, so tried to explain my plan further, if you can explain you comment, I am sure I can help you understand how this could work for you ... N2N would be better, but this would work with what you already have, and take minimal effort to setup and use ...
