Post by mtz_ro_2003 »

Hi ppl

I wonder if it's possible some kind of automation...

Something like a script to be run on the server machine...

Any ideas?

Automation?

What kind?

Like initiate a connection out? That is Single Click - search forums??

This program allows you full control access - or view access to the server machine depending on how it is set up. Therefore you can manually run a script when connected..

If you want the server machine to automatically do something... tell me what you are looking for.. and the devs may be able to help you.

Its hard to help someone when you are vague.

Yes, I know it's easy to manually run a script when you are connected to the server, but i think automation is opposite to manually... If I run something manually it's not automate :P

By "running a script on the server" i don't mean to run a wsh script remotely... I'm thinking of some kind of a macro to be run automatically when i connect to the server

For example, let's say if a computer receives an email I want to automatically connect to another computer and run a "macro" - there are some situations when you cannot run remote a wsh script.

I was thinking of a possibility to record a macro or something like this, just like in MS Office, for example; move mouse there, click there, etc.

so what I hear you saying is -

You want VNC either to be able to kick off a macro upon connection.

The only real automation this would be good for is if you logged into a server that has it running as a service and no one logged in. Then if you put it in the startup folder or ran a pre-recorded macro at startup it would then complete the tasks you want by just logging in.

But by default I do not believe this program has any way to initiate and or start a program when connecting... I could be wrong.
