Run VNC server from cdrom?

Hi,

We're planning on sending out a cdrom to some of our clients and I would like to include some kind of remote-support functionality. My goal was to include VNC on the cdrom so the client could start a server with a click on the autorun menu (created in demoshield).

I really need to get this working with :
* no installation needed, needs to run from the cdrom
* a pre-defined password
* a necessity for the client who asks remote support (by starting the server and calling us) to acknowledge the remote support

Is there a way to do this? If so, how?

with tools pebuilder from BartPE =>3.1.0, you can add Ultr@VNC on bootable CDROM and not only RealVNC

I have tried to make a BartPE 3.1.1 cd with UltraVNC. When booted from this CD, I cannot start the viewer. I can start the server, but not set a password, and therefore not connect to the server.

Have you created a BartPC with working UltraVNC viewers and servers ?

Try pebuilder v3.1.2

You can start ultravnc in server mode.
The default password to connect can be found in the plugin help html page.

Yes, I have tested both server and viewer and it works!
