Is there a walkthru for setting up qwest dsl modem to forward ports so I can use ultravnc with it.
I tried to port forward to 192.168.0.2 which is the pc
from the port on the actiontec WG 192.168.0.1 on ports 5801 through 5901 .ultra vnc is watching 5901 but I cannot get through on the ip address 6x.xx.xx.xx from the internet.

actiontec wg and qwest port forward
possibly.
search your manufactures website or try -
www.portforward.com/routers.htm
it may have your dsl router there..
If it is a cisco dsl/router you have to actually do some good commands as far as networking goes... but not so fun for those of us that dont like routers.

actiontec is a piece of crap
As a fellow qwest dsl customer I understand your pain. I finally had to get a static ip address and have my router set up in bridge mode. I don't know if qwest supports bridge mode or not (I have a local isp that is really cool about stuff like that) and the static ip will probly cost you a couple bucks a month but it really works a lot better to have a different router. I am using the linksys BEFW11S4 router with the latest firmware and port forwarding works great!
Good Luck
