Following a successful login, and connection, the initial UltraVNC screen appears only briefly before it vanishes, and UltraVNC exits...
I can make a successful UltraVNC connection to the Apple OSX Leopard Server via another Notebook on the same network.
I have installed UltraVNC Viewer Version 1.0.4 RC17, [uninstalled RC16 and installed RC17] which did not clear the problem.
Also checked
* remote machine does not have a screen saver active,
* disabling Hardware Acceleration in display properties had no effect.
Would appreciate some guidance on troubleshooting this anomaly.

Re: VNC Screen Vanishes and VNC Exits on connection...
I am having the about same problem using windows pc's. I can login ok, but after I connect my remote screen shows for about 2 seconds and then disappears. Any ideas?
Re: VNC Screen Vanishes and VNC Exits on connection...
I suggest you revert to Ultra VNC version 1.0.2 [Stable]...
Uninstall any later version you may have on your PC first..
Then down load and install 1.0.2.

Re: VNC Screen Vanishes and VNC Exits on connection...
As mentioned in [post=57119][/post] , turning off auto selection of connection speed appears to work around this bug. Hope this helps others as it helped me.
Re: VNC Screen Vanishes and VNC Exits on connection...
Thanks for this - I've had this issue for a while and couldn't work out why my server kept disconnecting.
In my case I found it wasn't the connection speed but the colour settings - anything OTHER than 'Full Colour' didn't work.
Thanks again
