rc18 viewer settings can't be saved?
rc18 viewer settings can't be saved?
When I use the rc18 viewer, none of the settings that i change (connection speed, client scale, and checking the use DSM plugin box) are persisted across sessions. The only thing that is saved (thankfully) is the remote address. Is this a known issue?
Sorry Misunderstood you.
What you can do is the following - Create a "Template" file by connecting to some ultravnc server as you normally do with all options you wish to have set.
Then hit Cntrl-Alt-F5 or click on the very top left hand side and go allll the way down to the bottom where it will say "Save Settings as" thats where you save this file as a connection setting file and you can edit it to not connect to a specific IP address enabling you to use it as a "Default Viewer".
Thankfully you can edit the .vnc (VNC Connection file) with notepad and edit the hostname out. If you do that it will come up - with your settings you wish and the last IP address that you connected to.
Sorry I misred the first post.
This should be helpful for ya.
