SCIII vs pchelpware?

Post by rpcblast »

Ok first of all, I would like to thank all the developers and contributers of both products, as well as UVNC itself. I have experimented with pchelpware, and used uvnc and SCIII, and am impressed that such products work so well for free.

I need a little clarification on the SSL support for pchelpware. I experimented with this a few months ago and was unable to get it to work using pchelpware, so i used sCIII. Here is my setup:

repeater_ssl running on internel server, port 443 opened to the internet. SCIII client file hosted on website. Configured to use connect to repeater on public side, using port 443. vncviewer_ssl can be used interneally or externally, over ssl, to connect to repeater, using ID input into SC when run by customer. The issue is it takes a couple times to connect usually.

I would like to set up a similar set up using pchelpware. If the viewer cannot connect via SSL I am ok with that, as I can publish that in citrix. My main requirement is that the customer file MUST connect over ONLY SSL(443). For some reason I was under the impression that pchelpware's version of the repeater did not support ssl.
