Multiple UltraVNC folders. What do I need in each?

Post by nowthenvnc »

I need to be able to connect to various PCs with different keys used in conjunction with the MSRC4Plugin-122. With the old plugin, I used to be able to specify the name of the key that I wanted to use, so I used to have different names for my different keys. The new one insists on using rc4. So, the best thing that I can think of is to have different UltraVNC folders with different names. I may even have different names for the vncviewer.exe files so that any .vnc files will open using the vncviewer from the correct folder.

So, in order to connect to a different computer (lets say PC1), I will leave my standard UltraVNC folder as it is. I will copy it to a folder called UltraVNCpc1. I will delete everything in that folder apart from vncviewer.exe and change it to vncviewerpc1.exe. I will also leave my MSRC4Plugin-122 and I will also put the unique key for PC1 in it.

So, all I will have in my UltraVNCpc1 folder is:
vncviewerpc1.exe
MSRC4Plugin-122.dsm
rc4.key

Is there anything else that I need to put in this folder to make things work. My trial seemed to work but maybe there is something else that I don't know about. After all, there were a lot of files in the original UltraVNC folder, the purpose of which I do not understand?

Thank you

I see two files:
Zip32.dll
UnZip32.dll

Are they the files you had in mind? Are there any others that I need?

Thanks

I have created .vnc files in the past. When you open one of these files it uses vncviewer.exe to open it. If I have additiional UltraVNC folders with vncviewer.exe and different keys in them, then I need different .vnc files to open with different vncviewer.exe files from the different UltraVNC folders.

So, I created a new file extension vng. I told it to open this type of file with a vncviewer.exe from one of my new UltraVNC folders. It didn't work. It said:
Invalid VNC server specified
Usage includes:
vncviewer [/8bit][/swapmouse][/shared] etc etc.
etc
etc
For full details see documentation.

What does this mean?
Do I need other dll files to be in this UltraVNC folder?
