UltraVNC-server does not run on 64-bit-Vista-system

Hello, I've read myself through several threads, the F.A.Q. and stuff, but did not find an answer to the problem my boyfriend an me experience.

Both of us use UltraVNC since years for easy remote control, we both had XP-32-bit-machines and everything worked fine. Then he got a new desktop and installed XP for a 64-bit-system. He experienced some problems with the downloaded server as that one did not run, it seems to be made for 32-bit-systems. He found an old 64-bit-server from 2005 and managed it to make it run, so I can access his desktop again.

But lately he got a Vista-64-bit-system and Vista does not allow the 2005-server to run as it is not signed and the new release (1.0.4) does not work just like on the XP-64-bit-system, UltraVNC does not run with the mirror-server-driver.

We never had those problems before, no matter how often we reinstalled our 32-bit-systems, it always worked smoothly.

I read that some people have 64-bit-Vista-systems here and have UltraVNC - how did you manage it that the server functions and is up and running?

So nobody around knows how to solve that problem? Does anybody know when a 64-bit-server will be available?

Anybody out there?


Edit: btw. - the viewer does work on his Vista-machine, so he can connect to my system.

No Idea at all but I know there is still a reason why I dont get 64bit systems...
