Where do I connect??

Post by mscpower »

Hi everybody!!

First of all, escuse my english, but Im an spanish guy!! I'd try to be as comprehensive as I can :)

Yesterday I downloaded ultraVNC. It's the first time I use a VNC program, so don't know the technical things behind this resource. Yesterday I installed de ultraVNC server on a PC, and the viewer in a laptop. Both of them where connected to the same router. When I putted the name of the PC, and correctly entered the password, everything worked fine.

But now, I'm at work and I cannot connect to my PC at home. The thing is that I don't know what do I have to put in the connection box. If I put the name of the PC it does not connect, and neither does with the IP address.

What IP do I have to put? The only IP I have here is the IP that the router assigns to the PC. Do I have to put the IP of the router?

Thanks to you all!! And congratulations for such a real good job!!!

yes, put the ip of the router, and the router needs to forward the ports (default 5800 and 5900) to the server's ip.
using latest code.... always... except when im not.
