the SC_VNC.exe runs

however its says software will be removed in 5 minutes, but its removing itself in less than 20 secs?

How can i correct this?

it remove itself 20sec in case of failure.
vncviewer is not listening (vncviewer must listen before SC start)
or helpdesk.txt have wrong -connect hostname:port

Vista still slow but better than before.

The client machine is controlled then there is a long delay before my screen updates..........

Both machines using windows Vista

Try with logmein and everything was almost instant..

Any ideas how to speed this up.

Two questions

1) do I need to put the -quickoption in the vncviewer and in the helpdesk ?

2) How do I use the encryption connection

tried vista machine and xp machine over WAN with connections as above.

Both extremely slow - logmein works fine but ultravnc sc is slow try all of the -quickconnect settings ?

Using SC-Autoit and latest vncviewer.............

with no encryption..... Also tried pchelpware,avantiq oneclick, and RSS ( all slow )

nrtsupport is good aswell althought expensive,,,,
logmein is the only one which is quick >

Two answers:

1) quickoption only for viewer
vncviewer -listen quickoption 3

2) vncviewer.exe" -dsmplugin msrc4plugin.dsm -listen 5500 -quickoption 3


so, you won't need SC if logmein is better ?

Not saying logmein is better.....

just faster

sc has much better facility to connect to end user than logmein.
Just wish i could figure out how to speed it up.

strange thing is the response to the end user is fast.

i.e i click open word >> word open in a second on end user

Then a long delay to register my end?
