UltraVNC & MS Terminal Server
UltraVNC & MS Terminal Server
Are you aware of any problems that exist with having UltraVNC and Terminal Server running on the same machine? I have had an instance where Terminal Server no longer works after installing the latest UltraVNC.

Don't install from Terminal Services
If VNC is installed from a terminal services session, I have found that it fails to start.
Just goto the box and install it from the true terminal.

there are some problems with remote desktop...it installs fine, but if the computer is locked (at least due to a remote desktop session) there won't be a display through VNC until someone logs into the computer. also if you connect to VNC while using remote desktop, the screen will be black until you do something in your remote desktop session.
Terminal Services failure
After installing the RC18 driver for video hook, my Terminal Services serevr became unable to receive any new connections. The RDP client reports some generic "error, check with your admin".
Anyone has ideas about that? I'm reverting vnc to non-videohook mode and will reboot the server tonight to see if it brings back terminal services.

Driver is disabled when no vnc connection is active, in sleeping
mode, the mirror driver has no influence on the real video card.
All hardware acceleration, overlay etc....works when mirror is sleeping.
TS use a seperate session with his own video driver, this is independed iof what you run on the desktop.
I'm not the owner of a full RDP server, but "FUS" still works with the driver installed...
any specific events in the NTlog ?
