help with port 443

Hi all, I have been using SC with great success but today I found a user that could not connect to me because of his firewall.

I then decided that I should try to configure it to use port 443.

I configured my router to forward port 443 to my desktop internal lan ip.

Then I edited my helpdesk.txt to read

-plugin -connect site.dyndns.org:443 -noregistry

compiled and I have the exe.

Next I set my viewer shortcut to this
"C:\Program Files\UltraVNC\vncviewer.exe" -dsmplugin MSRC4Plugin.dsm -quickoption 3 -listen 443

Then when I execute the listening to run and wait I get this..

Error creating listening daemon:(error binding daemon socket) perhaps another vncviewer is already running?

Nothing is running or even using port 443 on my computer.

What shall I do now?

check with
netstat -a

or check there no ghost of vncviewer in taskmanager tab processess.

Works fine on port 5500

I dunno whats so hard about getting it to work with 443

close it and try again

Yes that solved it. Thats what was wrong.

New problem now. I need skype and I need to be able to allow sc to use 443

What to do now?

on skype... menu Tools...
Connection...
Use port 10142 for incoming connections
uncheck box use port 80 and 443 as alternatives for incoming connections.
save

open corresponding incoming port 10142 to your firewall
