SC over SSH & VNC2me

Post by Ragnarok »

I have been coraspoding with JDaus about a methode he came up with for using SC over a SSH connection, and JDaus has asked me to post a brief summery of our conversations so far.

JDaus creadted an Auto It script using SC, plink (putty link), and a SSH server. I asked JDaus for assistance in compiling the script and folders into a single .EXE file so that I could use it. He seggested iexpress that comes with or 7-zip self extracting archive. However, iexpress doesn't support the use of folders in a .EXE file and 7-zip could be extracted to alow other to gain access to my SSH server.

After some disscution with JDaus I have been conveniced that the best course of action is to use a program that JDaus is developing called VNC2me. As for as I can tell, there is no tutorial and the program is in alpha stage at the moment, however, it does look like it has potential.

If anyone is interested in VNC2me please visit JDaus'es web site

Thanks Ragnarok,
VNC2Me is making great headways, but I need some people to test it on vista and any other OS past win2k - don't know if it will work prior to that, and at moment, not interested in supporting it.

work has also started on a linux and Mac OSX port, so i will keep you all informed [topic=12784]HERE[/topic] as it all progresses
