Whenever I disconnect from the VNC Server I get the following Windows Error message:
[Message Pop-up]
<HOSTNAME> ( 192.123.123.123 ) --- Ultr@VNC Viewer + AESV2 Plugin-v1.0.0.0: vncviewer.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x7c910f29" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
[/Message Pop-up]
It doesn't affect the functionality of VNC as far as I can tell, but it is annoying and didn't start until after I upgraded the VNC Server and Viewers to the latest 104 release.
I tried generating and using a new AESV2 key to see if that would help but the error persists. As far as I can tell this doesn't affect the Server in any way. I cannot find any errors in the Windows Events logs or in the VNC server logs except for the one posted below (which I'm not convinced is connected to the issue)

I have not yet had the opportunity to test connections without the AESV2 Plugin enabled. I will try that this weekend and post the results here.
Any assistance offered toward getting this issue resolved is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Re: Memory Errors on disconnect from UVNC Server 104 with AE
Redge, I came across that in another thread in this forum, but at this point I'm not even dealing with Vista.
Both the Server and Viewer are running Windows XP Pro SP2.
If there is any additional information you need concerning server or viewer please let me know.
Thanks,
D_J

Re: Memory Errors on disconnect from UVNC Server 104 with AE
I was able to determine that the error does not occur when the AESV2 Plugin is not enabled. So it would appear that it has something to do with the current version of the plugin and UVNC 104.

Re: Memory Errors on disconnect from UVNC Server 104 with AE
On which side? Server, viewer or both?
Re: Memory Errors on disconnect from UVNC Server 104 with AE
caused by server side.
ultravnc.ini = file read/write by ultravnc server only

Thanks, I will give it shot this weekend and post the results.
Re: Memory Errors on disconnect from UVNC Server 104 with AE
I checked the ultravnc.ini but no "EnableHook" setting existed. I added EnableHook=0 to the configuration file and restarted the VNC Server. I still get the same memory error when the viewer disconnects from the server.

UltraVNC 104RC16 on xp home/pro do not write all functions to ultravnc.ini
UltraVNC 104RC16 on vista write all functions to ultravnc.ini
I will try if I have same issue with AESV2Plugin.dsm
