Anything else?

Post by Helyr »

Hey Guys,

I think I've finally given up.

I'll explain the situation though, maybe someone seeing this can offer a hand.

We want to use this to remote support our clients with their software issues.

All our techs remote into our server from their workstations via TS. At the moment we are using 'SupportAnyPc'. We run this from our server, when a customer calls in needing remote support, we select a listening port, and they run our remote support client and connect to that port.

however it appears SupportAnyPc have gone out of business and as they do not support Vista, we need to move forward.

Is SC capable of fulfilling our needs, or should we look elsewhere?

If so, where should we look?

Freeware not necessary.

Cheers

Re: Anything else? -> WizHelp!

Hey Helyr!

I think WizHelp could fit your needs.

WizHelp is a free service allowing to take remote control of a computer or share screen without having to install anything.
Everything works through the web-browser.

Moreover, it currently supports Windows Vista and it knows how to handle Vista's UAC and Aero related-problems
(you can chose wether you want to run the service as an administrator at startup)
WizHelp is using an UltraVNC server.

The base service is free and a pro version is to be released soon and is already available through a free beta test program.

Try it out : http://www.wizhelp.com

Good luck !

While that does look good, it doesn't exactly fit the spec of what we need.

Cheers though.
