Hi there,
i connect to the internet via a Netgear router, so there is no dial-up necessary. Since i installed UltraVNC each time a web server is slowly responding, XP opens up the VPN dial-up window (presuming i'm not connected to the internet). This is VERY annoying as this window opens up sometimes two or three times a minute.
Is there a way to avoid this? The VPN is the only connection in my network folder, i connect via my router using a browser interface.
TIA,
Helli

Try this:
Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Connections (tab). Choose Never Dial a Connection.
