uvnc RC14 and DSM 1.22 Connection woes

Post by ashokr »

Hi

I have been using uvnc with no encryption plugin on 2 servers. The viewers connected and stayed connected for several days (actually more than a week).

Then i added the DSM MSRC 1.22 noreg plugin. It seemed to connect alright. But didnt seem to stay alive for a long time. Not even an entire day.

WHen i went to the remote pc manually and asked to list clients it still showed the disconnected client as connected. (Then asked to kill all clients) and then i was able to connect ok again. But the problem repeated.

If i move away from DSM and with no encryption it seemed to work alright.

Sometimes even if i disconnect the client and try to reconnect, i get the error saying that server might use a dsm plugin and i didnt specify in viewer (even though its checked).

Anyone seen something like this.

Cheers,
ashok

found the issue...
rename MSRC4Plugin-122.dsm --> msrc4plugin.dsm and back to stable release :-)

check the ultravnc.ini
DSMPlugin=msrc4plugin.dsm

ashokr ,

104rc16
Did you try to rename the msrc4plugin-122.dsm to msrc4plugin.dsm
is there better stability ?

thank you for your test.
