Compiling the source code... anyone done it?

Post by jeffmorlen »

What I am trying to do is compile the source code for UltraVNC SC.
I'm not trying to make an SC package... that's easy.
I'm actually trying to compile the source code that is the VNC server.

I have been looking high and low for someone that has done this, but mostly I have found a bunch of posts that indicate a problem, then the author says it is fixed, but doesn't give the solution.

So, I'm wondering if anyone is willing to share, with me and the world, a step by step how to for compiling UltraVNC SC.

Like most people, I have some programming background, but mine is in VB... so the concepts are there just not the vocabulary.

So, I'm wondering if someone would be willing to run me, and everyone, through what it takes with:
- Windows XP with SP2
- Microsoft Visual C++ 9.0 Express Edition

Kinda looking for a shopping list and a recipe... if you catch my meaning.

Thanks in advance.
