Need help, no connection

Post by Patchworks »

Ok, I'm not getting this Single Click stuff to work. Any help would be appreciated.

I've compliled my Remote.exe using the Single Click Offline Compiler. My router is setup to do the DDNS and that part seems to be working. I am using the default port 5500 in the compile and likewise I've opened both TCP/UDP on my Router and pointing to the internal 192.168.1.x address of the PC with the VNCViewer with Listening turned on.IP

What am I missing here? Does the PC running the SC Remote.exe have to have it's router or firewall set to allow traffic?

I'm at my wit's end.

thanks,
g

your using the internal IP like you said, for external connections back to that pc use the external ip or dyndns or no-ip host name.

of course forward the ports to the internal ip where the viewr is running

sc does a reverse connection thats why u use port 5500.

Internal IP 192.x.x.x will only work for computers over the LAN.

that pretty basic stuff and available information in the sticky topics.

Well, I tracked down the problem to my Router. I'm using the Sveasoft firmware on my Linksys WRT54G router. I had the ports all setup and everything, but for some reason they were not going thru.

In my playing around, I enabled uPNP and now it is working.

Weird.

Thanks,
