So I switched over to PCHW and found it somewhat more difficult to setup, but once I got that executable configured and emailed it to family/friends, it wouldn't connect either.
I had been trying to use a direct connection, but finally figured out from endless reading that I need to use a repeater since I am behind a firewall and the people I want to help are as well.
That's where I hit a brick wall. I have read endless threads and the step by step instructions for UVNC and PCHW and I just can't figure out what I need to do to set up a repeater.
Should I use the uvnc repeater or the pchw repeater? Should I set up the repeater on my computer? Do I need a static ip address or should I use a dynamic one? I forwarded the ports on my linksys router, configured my windows firewall and set up a static ip, but still it didn't work.
Help! Help! Help! I'm usually really good with tech stuff, but these programs are making me feel like a complete dummy!
