Hi there,
we're using RealVNC to monitor open sessions on our windows terminal-servers ... because our Thinclients (windows CE.net) don't have a vnc-server installed.
I'm now searching for a way to change the window title of every open VNC-Conection, because when we now monitor the open sessions we only see the IP-Adress of the Terminal-Server, but not which user / session or portnumber.
Is there a way to change the window-title of the VNC-connection?
regards
Arno Seidel

Re: Window - Title
hi,
the problem is, that we start on one IP (ip of the terminal-server) 25 diffrent instances of vnc (for every logged in user) ... and when we then open the viewer for that sessions we only see the ip of the terminal-server in the window-title of the connection.
i think there are two possible solutions for my problem:
first: additionaly show the port/display number in the window-title (192.168.1.1:5915 for example)
second: add a config-file option (for the viewer) like WindowTitle:Desk11

hi there,
will i ever get a answaer to my question...?
i nee to sepcify the window-title of every vnc-connection which will be opened
via a .vnc file ... displaying the IP-Adress /DNS-Name in the window title is not that what we need.

Re: Window - Title
One possibility I'm considering (a pain, but maybe the only way) is to setup fake hostnames in my hosts file, and have each host correspond to the same address, but the hostnames correspond to the titles I want for UltraVnc.

Re: Window - Title
I have read on the internet.
I can tell from screenshots that I receive that very few will modify their Internet Explorer window title.
This...
IE window title - WebmasterWorld.com
Looks much nicer than this...
