OneClick version 1.8.8.3 is now available for download from:

http://www.advantig.com/oneclick

---------
Changes
---------

Version 1.8.8.3
---------------

- Changed the Tool Icon on the timer bar (wrench) to launch custom tool
command #1. This makes it quicker and easier to launch a survey page or
a tool from your tools folder such as voice chat or a draw on screen
module. The tool tip when hovered over with the mouse pointer will
display the name of custom tool #1. If custom tool #1 is not configured,
the tool tip will display "Browse the Web Based Tools" and if clicked
it will open your web based tool site instead of Tool #1.

i gonna end up spending 400 bucks with a big corporate instead of giving most of that to these guys simply because they are making it too difficult for even someone like me, who is an experienced tech, to get it to work in a reasonable amount of time - simply due to the lack of step by step documentaton.

also, the thought of support should anything stop working, given the lack of interest in my post, shows up more deficiencies.

I agree with you completely. I truely hope this comes to pass.
Even more so, I would really like to see a "Cross Platform " program that REALLY works. Good luck guys.

Not sure I follow you Kevin.

Are you talking about OneClick, SingleClick, or UVNC?

I use OneClick and find their instructions quite clear and the product easy to use for both me and my clients. Only wish it would run as a service in Vista, which as far as I know, nothing will - yet.

I think they are talking about UVNC SingleClick. We should change the OneClick name to something else to avoid the confusion.

We have managed to get OneClick to work as a service in Vista, you can see the desktop, switch users, click and run things but you can't type any text into anything. Strange eh? Hope to have it finished soon.

I've just installed v1.8.8.3 (clean install), and when I say "Yes" to "Do you want to use the same settings you used last time?" (after a succesful build) nothing seems to happen. Running Task Manager shows that Creator.exe is still running and using around 50% of the CPU. Any ideas?

Send us the helpdesk.txt and commands.txt files from your SC Source folder and include your OS version in the email.

Thanks for the bug report, it's been fixed in v1.8.8.4 and is available on the website.

Edit: Updated the digital signatures on all of the exe and dll files 1/20/08 and updated the files on the website.

The vulnerability fixed vncviewer.exe (OneClick version compiled from SVN sources) has been updated (1/25/08). I made some changes trying to help make it more stable (in SC mode). So far it seems to have helped, it hasn't crashed yet in what would normally be fatal situations but time will tell. I did a shotgun approach so now I need to go back through it and see which ones are not really needed and clean it all up.

If you don't want to download the entire OneClick setup or bin zips you can get only the vncviewer.exe (signed and scanned) at the link below:

http://www.advantig.com/files/vncviewer.zip

That is a good viewer Phil :)

Smaller than the vncviewer.exe and is actually a bit more responsive using SC. However I encountered 1 minor issue with a wireless network, however wireless networks are generally not the most reliable sort of network so I will put that down to the network as oppose to your viewer.

Oh and a quick question, is your viewer based on the latest RC10 build?

and sorry for putting an i in your name in the SingleClick forum.

Best Wishes

The creator did not change, it was only re-compiled with new version number. Try reinstalling or updating to v1.8.8.7 available at the link below.

Version 1.8.8.7
---------------

- Now temporarily disables screen saver and APM blanking/sleep/hibernate
while running. Does not change any system settings.

Version 1.8.8.6

Is oneclick able to run as a service in Vista yet? If no, is it on the horizon?

Hi Advantig,

The new version of OneClick (1.8.8.8) doesn’t make the oneclick.exe file.
In non-service mode (Vista).

I think the problem is with the "Create a Customer Module" it doesn’t run in administrator mode (Vista) when I am choosing "Run with administrator" it creates the oneclick.exe file.

The new release also overwrite if I have a own icon.dll file in the SC folder.

Hi Advantig,

The Onclick is an great program for supporting my family & friends....
However not everyone is good in the English language.

Might it be an idea to provide more languages that display the start screen... ? (non-commercial-version)

I know the message disappers when the product is bought but for simple support it's too much for me.

Are you using http:// or https:// as the IP/DNS address?
christ0pher wrote:The new release also overwrite if I have a own icon.dll file in the SC folder.
Overwrite was necessary since old icon.dll did not contain a Vista manifest.

Didn't know there was a version 1.8.8.8 (am on 1.8.8.7). Change history on your web site doesn't list changes in 1.8.8.8. Can you tell me what has changed?

If you mean the repater in the "Create a Customer Module" I am pressing cancel i don't need that one.

Our own repater is on a http:// adress.

Some, but not all, of my Vista clients are getting a "Critical files are missing" error when trying to run my OneClick. Any suggestions?

Make sure they are running v1.8.8.8 dated 4 march or v1.8.8.9 beta dated 3 april. If it's still happening, send the customer module to support for investigation.

OneClick Version 1.8.8.9 is now available for download at:

http://www.advantig.com/oneclick

---------------

- Fixed critical files are missing error when a service mode customer module is forced to run in Application mode.

- Improved Vista AERO support.

- Added the ability to use your own company name in the password prompt, ID Code, Session Code and some other message box headers in the customer modules.

The first line of the Startup.txt file is now used for your company name.
If it is not there, it will load the company name from the HelpDesk.txt file after the password prompt (if applicable).

Sorry, all sorts of problems here with 1.8.8.9...

1. Company name (specified in first line of startup.txt) is not used anywhere I can see.

2. When the session ended prompt appears, I hear multiple beeps (4, I think).

3. The wallpaper is not restored after the session ends.

4. The temporary 1Click folder is left behind.

1 - Company name only shows in limited input boxes for now. Add password and you will see it.

2 and 3 - Creator.exe was missing a file causing no wallpaper restore. recompiled and re-uploaded to website. Download and re-install and rebuild modules.

4 - Which options did you use? service mode? Direct mode with no service? Menu mode with no service?

JC, the file wasn't missing, it was just the wrong one... I accidentally used one from DualDesk which is not VNC compatible... Sorry I wasn't more specific. Thanks for taking care of the post and the upload.

I installed the new version and created a new customer module. When a relative was asking me for help I had them run the new customer module but it failed to connect to me. On my machine a window popped up with an error message saying something about the plug-in. When I compiled the customer module I did select the option for encryption so I suspect the problem has to do with the encryption plug-in. Is anyone else experiencing this?
