Hello everybody,
I just setup UltraVNC to connect from my laptop (client computer) at work to my home desktop (server computer). It is working nicely, but I noticed that there is no sound transfered to the client. Is it possible to send sound from the server to the client? I can start sound files through the client and they play properly on the server but the client doesn't hear anything. Is this possible now or should I be posting a feature request?
Thanks,
promethes

Re: Sound
you right,Vista Home Premium rdp will not work even though my client is XP Pro?
but you can upgrade anytime your Vista Home Premium to Vista business or higher for enable remote desktop.
because feature are existing but only disabled, so you won't need to uninstall.
just upgrade licence and missing feature come back.

Re: Sound
Apologies, but I didn't follow this discussion too well... This is what I gathered from it:
Ultra VNC does not support remote sound.
Windows Remote Desktop does if both machines have XP Pro
Is this right?
Also, it sounds like there is no other free VNC product (or paid product for that matter) that handles sound either. Is that right too?
Thanks in advance,
Tom

See Audio Support in Comparison of remote desktop software.
