Windows XP SP2, server and viewer versions 1.0.2. For some reason when UltraVNC is ran as a service with any plugin enabled (tried MSRC4, ARC4, and AESv2) the client just sits there on Connecting indefinately.
I have no issues connecting when the server is ran as a normal program, plugins work without issue...
Any thoughts?

on service mode, you need restart computer for apply change

thanks for your reply, unfortunately a restart exhibits the same behavior. i would think restarting the service would be sufficient...

Hi,
I have just registered on to this forum as im having the same problem. I can connect to a pc not using the plugin but when I select the plugin, the viewer just hangs at the vnc viewer status window (status: Negotiate protocol version)
The pc it isnt working with isnt a domain pc. Its a pc in a workgroup but it has a locked down local security policy. I was assuming it was something in this policy preventing ultravnc from working with the plugin as my domain pc's do work withthe plugin
Does anyone have any idea what it could be? Im getting desperate now!

you have a locked file of the dsmplugin crashed. so your connection with plugin continue to fail.

I have the following server 1.0.2 and right clicking on the file MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm gives me a version number of 1.2.2.0
