Is there a way to create a custom VIEWER?

Post by kanja »

What I am trying to do is give the ability for two users to help each other.

I can create a custom server where user enters ID (for repeater)

I would like to create a custom VIEWER where the helper can enter same ID. I don't want them to see any other configuration options. Just a ID I can assign to both. Is this possible without editing source code?

[topic=9663]"Zero Configuration" PcHelpWare_viewer[/topic] shows an example of how to set up the viewer with a password and ID built in. If you want the user to have to enter an ID, select Yes to Does the user need to enter the ID? when creating a server. You use the same viewer, it's just the phw-file that changes.

Let me know if you're talking about single click and not PcHelpWare.

No I'm talking about pchelpware.

I want a viewer that I can customize and put logo on and remove the extra features. A viewer, that looks like the server end for simplicity. I want end users to be able to use the viewer.

I doubt there is anything that can do what I want unless someone already rewrote the GUI viewer source to be more simplistic.

If someone has the skills write me a custom viewer GUI, I would be willing to pay for it. Or maybe even recommend some other software?

this site does kind of what I am looking to do, but obviously I do not want to have to pay for it.

Just follow the instruction in the help pages and you can set up logo, buttons to yourk liking. Also scan through the PChelpware directory for BMP and resource files and look for the bitmaps and how you can change them.

I f all else fail you can download the viewer code and recompile it with VC. The viewer code is simple enough for average programmer.
