Hello,
can it be, that the mirror driver create a file named Video0.dat on drive c:. The crazy is, that this file has no date, if I looked it with win explorer.
If I want delete this file, I get an error, that I can´t delete it. If I delete it with the program eraser, the file will recreated after two seconds with a random name like kdjeu.domn e.g.
So I thougt, that could be a virus or worm. But no scanner or other programms hadn´t something against the file. So I deinstalled some programms and rebooted. After I deinstalled the mirrordriver, the file can deleted normaly and weren´t recreated.
Only, that I can sleep without "fear": Is that file a file from the mirror driver?
Thanks for helping.

Re: File Video0.dat on drive C:
Correct,
The driver use this file for shared memory between kernel and user space.
The file is actual mapped in memory, but need to exist.

Re: File Video0.dat on drive C:
Second question to the driver:
On my other PC I have my video hook driver2, too. But there is no file like video0.dat. All PC´s have XP Prof. but different grafic cards.
Is that the reason? And on this PC I haven´t installed the Server as a service. I start the server manually, if needed.
But the file don´t appear, if I start the server.
Thanks for answering again. And thank you for the very good programm.
