I would like to set up a repeater system to allow our internal support staff to help outside users using SC. Is it possible to set up multiple copies of the repeater application (each using a different port) on the same machine?
I would like to set up a SC application allowing the end user to select the technician name (each one having a different port) then let the tech connect to the repeater from inside our firewall (the repeater being in the DMZ zone). I assume I would need to run several copies of the repeater on the machine in different directories. Just woundered if anyone had tried this before....
Thanks,
Scott

Multiple repeater ports on one machine?
Re: Multiple repeater ports on one machine?
no sense,
one repeater on DMZ
port 5900 for viewer
port 5500 for server
and one ID per technician
one repeater on DMZ
port 5900 for viewer
port 5500 for server
and one ID per technician

Re: Multiple repeater ports on one machine?
Will that config allow for multiple connections at once (should have stated that in the first post )?

Re: Multiple repeater ports on one machine?
That's what Redge meant by:
As long as you don't have overlapping IDs you they can be connected at the same time.and one ID per technician
Re: Multiple repeater ports on one machine?
repeater allow by default 20 simultaneous connections
use only number for ID
tech1 = ID 100 --> customerA
tech2 = ID:200 --> customerB
tech3 = ID:400 ---> customerC
use this repeater below up to date
